Character vs Self:

“Life, although i my only an an accumulation of anguish, it is dear to me, and i will defend it”
Often when people are miserable they don’t value their life but this quote shows conflict because he is miserable but he still values it and does not want it to end.

“Often did my human nature turn with loathing from my occupation whilst still urged on by an eagerness which perpetually increased”
Frankenstien wants to stop what he’s doing but because of his eagerness he finds it impossible to do so.

“This was strange and unexpected intelligence; what could it mean? Had my eyes deceived me? and was i really as mad as the whole world would believe me to be if i disclosed the object of my suspicions?”
He is in conflict with himself because he can’t decided wither telling people his suspicious or not is a good idea
